Alone 2013

There is nothing more terrifying than having to face your fears alone.  Perhaps that’s why it’s rare to see someone go to a haunted attraction solo, but visitors to Alone [an existential haunting] will be required to have this experience Alone.  Billed as one part interactive theater and one part psychological haunting Alone forces you to become a part of your own nightmare.  There’s no gore, no chainsaws and no clowns with this experience.  This attraction promises that you will be dislocated, disoriented and disturbed, and I have no doubt in my mind that they will succeed.  This attraction is my idea of what fear is, and what most haunted attractions lack, the sense of isolation.   ALONE will take place in downtown Los Angeles in a former fraternal order temple built in 1924. It’s just south of the 10 freeway, and just west of the 110 freeway. The exact address will be emailed to you prior to the event.  Each participant must present valid photo identification and be over the age of 18, and must enter ALONE....

The Hill Has Eyes 2013...

When truckloads of hazardous waste were dumped into this abandoned quarry in Franklin, Wisconsin, nobody had any concern for the residents of the nearby mobile home community. The mutations that followed have riddled this 130 acre site with mutants hungry for human flesh. The Hill Has Eyes offers two Haunted Trails and a ride on a run down chair lift which rewards its survivors with a trip through their 3D Zombie Maze.  After you’ve toured all of the attractions you can kick back in the beer tent and enjoy some music with a few of the undead or relax at the bonfire.   http://youtu.be/NHkYvCKO3fI     After the side effects began to develop, the mutated hillbillies were shunned by the public and forced to grow their population amongst themselves. Taking refuge in the nature that once surrounded their small mobile home community, they built homes and shelters using materials found in the landfill.    Mutated inhabitants, confined to the landfill, hunger for fresh human flesh. In Hunger Hollow, the captured are brutally butchered, eaten and given a satanic burial that harvests their souls into the walking dead.    Try to escape Zombie warfare by hopping a ride on The Ski Hill’s Scare Lift, ascending you into the horror of the hill.  Nothing can prepare you for the terror that awaits you as you board a rickety chair lift, once the cause of horrific accident, which took the lives of 43 skiers back in January of 1973.  The lift is now operated by these Zombies and continues to act as a death trap for those brave enough to take a ride.     What waits for those who survive the Scare Lift is The Hill Has Eyes newest attraction – Wisconsin’s very first 3D attraction —...

Keep quiet as you emerge from the sewers and make your way into the carny’s twisted world; sneaking into their rotting trailer and discovering the horrors that lie within. They won’t be gone for long, but you can’t leave until you discover the “secret” ingredient used in their processing plant, cleverly hidden behind their ramshackle home.   The good news, it’s MADE IN AMERICA, but the bad news you’ll have to learn for yourself. Wander into this bustling factory, and watch as workers transform various parts into eerily lifelike dolls, almost too lifelike. But the smell of death is everywhere and after a quick trip down the rickety freight elevator, you discover the real factory floor. Slick with blood, this factory is full of satanic workmen, butchering and embalming the innocent as part of a hellish assembly line.   Beyond the lights and sounds of the carnival, lay the remnants of a long abandoned circus tent, where a detestable world of disfigured clowns waits for unwitting victims.  Prepare for a long night as this chaotic maze is nearly impossible to escape; overflowing with nightmarish creatures at every turn.   Explore the cemetery grounds; final resting place for CARNEVIL’s most recent victims and home to the Tomb of the Voodoo High Priestess. Enter...

Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern 2013...

Thadeus Krane his wasted his life and fortune working on ways to beat death, and despite his many failed experiments, he’s still trying.  He’s even enlisted the help of his “failed” experiments, or “Defex”, to lure live specimens to “The Pit” to await their chance to help him in his quest.  Now it’s your turn to join the experiment as you descend 26 stories underground, where NO ONE can hear you scream! The Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern located in Chattanooga Tennessee is one of the most interesting haunted attractions you’ll come across.  You’ll actually head 260 feet below ground into Lookout Mountain and enter Thadeus Krane’s twisted world.  If you can survive the infected survivors of Krane’s experimentation while you’re in “The Pit”, you’ll be transported back to the surface for decontamination.  This is an intense haunt that starts the minute you get there, with actors roaming the parking lots to set the right tone.  And because it takes place both above and below ground it’s one of only a few haunts that can actually boast an experience in the “underworld”....

The Factory of Terror 2013...

If terror ever needed a manufacturing plant wouldn’t Canton, Ohio be the logical place to put it?  And at the Factory of Terror, screaming is only the beginning.  This haunt resides in a 150,000 square foot abandoned aluminum foundry with the haunt occupying approximately 55,000 square feet of it.  For the second consecutive year, the 3,796 feet of terror-filled hallways that make up the Factory of Terror has been recognized as the “Longest Walk-Through Horror House” on the planet according to Guinness Book of World Records. This is a state of the art haunt, with four individual attractions offering intense audio and visual stimuli to send you over the edge.   This is the first mirror maze constructed strictly for the Halloween season in the U.S.  And will test your grip on reality.    The Factory itself tests your will to survive this ambitiously phrenetic audio visual treat.   Former Factory founder Mr. Terinz built a house in the middle of the production line.  When his unstable mind became too fragile for the demanding long hours the killing spree that followed gave birth to the Massacre on Mahoning.    Successful completion of the first three shows are rewarded with a 3-D experience that breaks the mold of clowns and silly...

Erebus 2013

Depending on who you ask, Erebus is either the son of Chaos and the brother of Nye (Night) in Greek mythology, or the darkness beneath the Earth that the dead must pass to reach Hades.  If you ask the people of Pontiac Michigan about Erebus, though, you’ll get the real answer: four stories of fear.  This massive haunted attraction is the former Guinness Book of World Records holder for the world’s largest walk through haunted house.   Inside Erebus you’ll get to see the world’s first fully functioning time machine, which was constructed by Dr. J. Colbert.  The time machine is largely considered a failure since, though it did transport test subjects through time, the time period they arrived in reacted to them as a virus and attacked.  And now it’s your turn to test the limits of the space time continuum as you work your way through time in what is an incredible feast for the eyes.  This is a high intensity haunt, and you will be dazzled by incredible effects and props, all of which are created in house.  You’ll encounter a tilting vortex tunnel, huge tarantula’s, werewolves that attack and even an enormous dinosaur head busting out of the wall.  No matter what definition you choose, Erebus is truly a one of a kind interactive experience that you do not want to miss....
